2nd Generation Antipsychotics

Latuda is a second generation antipsychotic. It’s clinically approved for psychosis and schizo-typical disorders. I have schizoaffective disorder, as a reminder. It was originally for bipolar depression or something like that but they studied it and it works for psychosis too. Good thing, it’s more effective than risperidone, which is also a second generation antipsychotic but makes me more restless.

Second generation means better significantly and newer than the first generation. I don’t know where the temporal boundary is.

Thanks for listening.
